Today is the birthday of my Aunt and Father. Yes, they are twins!
Happy Birthday!!
One thing that hasn't changed with all the new technology, is the mail. It is okay to pick out a card before the actual birthday if you send one online. That, I think, is less personal though. So, every year my procrastinating self will write down in my planner to buy them cards, think about it, but always forget. So, I have two birthday cards sitting in my room, that will be going out today... late. It's the one inconvenience of being in different cities. But, I guess it's the thought that counts right? And, eventually they will get cards... just may be after they're already a year older and a few days :)
Happy Birthday Dad and Aunt!
Hopefully one day I can have twins too! I hear that it skips a generation! lol.
Danica,
ReplyDeleteNice blog. How would it work as part of your Final Project?
DB
I'm still struggling with what to do for my final project?
ReplyDeleteIt seems that there are many birthdays this month, and I was wondering...
could I teach about birthdays and how different cultures/countries view and celebrate birthdays? It would be geared towards a younger audience. Get them to reflect upon what they do to celebrate, the origins of these practices, and then what kids in other countries do!
This would be shown through different "happy birthday" songs, different pictures of what they do, and a blog entries enlisting their participation through commenting on the prompt I post.
Danica,
ReplyDeleteI could not agree with you more about taking the time to write a hand written letter. I feel that as time has continued and education has improved people are becoming more and more lazy with communication with other people. Taking the time to write a card means so much more to a person than receiving an e-card, an email, or a facebook post. Its crazy how times have changed!!!
